I'm starving, tired and miserable. I've nothing funny or interesting to write to you about, I'm afraid. I've been completely consumed by the upcoming "procedure" on Wednesday. Each time I sit down to sort out the amusing bits of my day, relate some dorky thing I've witnessed or done, or chat about the production of Medea, my stab at Hecuba or the Ninth Gate (things I've read or seen over the weekend), I hit a brick wall.
I'm obsessed with my colon, and will not bore you with the litany of fears.
I am, however, almost done with Day One of the colonoscopy prep, which consisted of not eating anything. I'm only allowed clear liquids. It's left me headachy, dull, sluggish and slow. It took me nearly two hours to write one e-mail and complete this entry. I will enjoy another day of not eating tomorrow, but will supplement my liquid diet with a barrage of powerful laxatives. Gee. I can't wait.
One small bit of good news brightened my day. You may now visit me on Usenet. Alt.pinch has arrived. Everyone has their own website, but how many get a whole newsgroup?
